Part-time nanny position caring for two young girls, age 3 and 4 and a half. Schedule is three afternoons per week from 12:00 PM–5:30 PM, totaling 16.5 guaranteed hours per week. The nanny will drive their own vehicle to the family's home, use the family vehicle to pick the children up from school, and bring them home for the afternoon.
This family values child-led play while maintaining a consistent daily routine. They are looking for a nanny who enjoys creating engaging afternoons through reading, outdoor adventures, arts and crafts, sensory play, imaginative play, and age-appropriate educational activities. They appreciate someone who naturally notices developmental milestones and shares observations, but formal documentation is not expected.
The focus of this role is the children. No household cleaning, meal preparation, or laundry is required.
Dad works from home up to two days per week from a private office and will only be available in emergencies, allowing the nanny to independently manage the afternoon routine.
The family practices respectful, responsive parenting with calm boundaries, positive reinforcement, emotional coaching, and age-appropriate expectations. They are seeking a nanny whose caregiving philosophy aligns with connection, empathy, and teaching problem-solving skills.
Screen time is used in moderation and age-appropriate content is encouraged. The family also practices food neutrality and allows the children independent access to snacks.
The home has two dogs and two cats. The nanny will not be responsible for pet care. One dog attends daycare during nanny hours, the other remains separated from the children, and the cats are independent.

FULL JOB DESCRIPTION:
We are seeking a dependable, attentive, and active part-time nanny to care for a 6-year-old boy every Friday from 9:00 AM–3:00 PM during the September 2026 – June 2027 school year.
The nanny will meet the family at the child's nature class at 9:00 AM. The family will drop the child off with the nanny and return to pick him up at the end of the day.
The primary responsibility will be accompanying the child throughout his nature class, helping him safely participate in the program, keeping him engaged and on track, and providing close supervision throughout the day. This position requires someone who is comfortable spending time outdoors and who can confidently supervise an active child who may attempt to elope.
Transportation:
No transportation of the child is required for this position. The nanny will meet the family directly at the nature class, and the family will be responsible for dropping off and picking up the child.
This is a legally paid W-2 position with guaranteed hours. If a holiday falls on a Friday, that day will be treated as PTO. No additional sick time is being offered. Anticipated days off: Oct 30, Nov 27, Dec 25, Jan 1, Feb 12, Mar 26, and April 16th.
The family does request the nanny is fully vaccinated and health conscious.
The ideal candidate will be energetic, responsible, safety-conscious, vaccinated, comfortable with outdoor activities, and confident providing close supervision to an active 6-year-old.
